Leh Local Sightseeing
Visit Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace, both with sweeping valley views.
Walk through Leh's main market and old town at a gentle pace.
Free evening, continued acclimatisation.
Drive to Nubra Valley
Drive from Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La, one of the world's highest motorable passes.
Continue descent into Nubra Valley, arriving at Hunder or Diskit.
Check in at Nubra, free evening.
Nubra Valley Exploration
Visit Diskit Monastery, overlooking the Shyok river valley.
Hunder sand dunes; double-hump Bactrian camel ride (own cost).
Free evening at Nubra.
Drive to Pangong Lake
Drive from Nubra to Pangong Lake via the Shyok river route.
Arrive at Pangong, check in at a lakeside stay.
Watch the lake change colour at sunset.
Return to Leh
Sunrise views over Pangong Lake before checking out.
Drive back to Leh via Chang La pass, one of the world's highest motorable roads.
